Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Squared Away Forecaster application (hereinafter referred to as "Application") created by Squared Away Finance Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Company").
Consent
By creating an account and using the Application, you are consenting to this Privacy Policy as set forth now and as amended by us.
Artificial Intelligence
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Information Collection and Use
All information collected or created in the Application is encrypted using industry-standard encryption. When you create an account, the Application collects the following information:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
This information is used for account login, authentication, and security purposes. The Company does not sell your personal data to third parties.
The Application does not collect any financial data. Application data is stored locally on your device. Sensitive data is protected using device-level secure storage and requires biometrics to access.
By default, the Application enables iCloud to sync your data across devices. This feature can be disabled in the settings of the Application.
Third-Party Services
The Application offers Sign in with Apple as an authentication option, which is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Whether you sign up with email or Sign in with Apple, the same account information is collected. The Company will only contact you via email to verify your email address.
The Application offers integration with Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"), which is subject to Plaid's Privacy Policy. When used, Plaid allows you to connect your financial institutions and retrieve bank account and transaction data. This financial data is fetched directly by Plaid on your behalf and stored on your device. It is never transmitted to or stored on the Company's servers.
Data Retention
The Company will retain User Provided data (your name and email address) until you delete your account. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems. Your account can be deleted at any time in the Application settings.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Company will post any updates to this page. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use constitutes acceptance of all changes.
